I’ve sat here staring that the date on my last blog post. Has it really been over a month? Every day I think, I need to blog. I need to sit down and write something. Not blogging is not good for business, awful for search engines and pointless, really.

So why haven’t I blogged? There is a combination of reasons none of which hold any water. After the first week, it was an easy thing to let go of. May was an insanely busy month for The Girlfriend Experience Boudoir. I saw a substantial shift in the way I shoot women. All online photo galleries have been tossed out the window, completely. You have to live a minimum of 2 hours away for an online gallery to be a viewing option. I’ve signed up for some amazing workshops in the coming year. As well as, some changes are being made to the studio. Blogging just seemed like something I could put on the back burner. I even made a weak attempt at a blogging return but obviously, that didn't work out.

I reached out to a few of the clients that shared themselves with us this month and asked if they’d be ok with being featured in a blog post. I am thrilled with the response of their being extremely flattered and they love love love their images but they are afraid they are “too” sexy.

The Universe has totally been picking up what I’ve been throwing down.

Wayyyy back in February, I started talking about how pretty pictures weren’t cutting it for me any longer. How I wanted to help you find your edge. That has been happening over and over. I understand that because of all this boundary pushing, I don’t have as many images to share with you.

A new client recently said to me, “You’re not PG. That is why I want to work with you.”

Pleasure is something we all want to experience. I want your boudoir shoot to be pleasureable. I want your photos to show your pleasure, to bring pleasure to the viewer.

We are all about pleasure not pretty.

This email came in the same day a client had her session,

Ummmmm, all I can say is WOW - thank you so very much for an amazing day : )

When I left I called my best friend and told her that this is something she MUST do! I know that all women have their insecurities and don't always feel their best, especially when naked, let alone in front of people that they just met for the first time. I grew up with all boys so normally am pretty insecure around other women to begin with, but, you and Dessa were AMAZING and I never felt anything but comfortable with you both! I knew from the camel toe email that we'd get along great, ha, and I was right. I am so happy that I did this for myself and hope that other women will do the same and enjoy themselves! I will most definitely spread the word to my girlfriends about this experience and encourage them all to do the same!

Thank you again, so much, for giving me the confidence (and making me look beautiful) to do this for myself (and the hubbs). It was a great 30th birthday present to myself - I can't wait to see the finished photos!!
